I was born in a hospital in Kamp-Lintfort, but grew up in Alpen.

Student worker at Microvision GmbH in Rheinberg: Software Development and System Integration (until 1999).
Civil service.
Student worker at Lutronik Software GmbH in Wesel: Software Development (until 2003).
I started my studies of Computer Science at RWTH Aachen University in winter 2000. My minor subject was business economics. My area of specialization was High Performance Computing.
In May 2003 I became a research assistant (student worker) inh the HPC Group at the Center for Computing and Communication of RWTH Aachen University.
Submission of my diploma thesis "Shared-Memory Parallelisierung von C++ Programmen" (engl.: Shared-Memory parallelization of C++ programs) and thus completion of my studies.
In February 2006 I started my work as a research associate at the Center for Computing and Communication of RWTH Aachen University in the High Performance Computing group.
Achievements
First place in the 2002 programming competition of the computer science department at RWTH Aachen University (Sun software competition).
First place in the 2003 programming competition of the computer science department at RWTH Aachen University (Sun software competition).
Second place at the Siemens Unternehmercup (entrepreneur cup) arragend by the Lehrstuhl WIN at RWTH Aachen University.
